Babes Ride Out East Coast Narrowsburg NY June 3-5th 2022
Babes Ride Out East Coast was my very first all female campout held in the heart of the Catskill
Mountains along the historic Delaware River.
Tiffany and I headed out from Florida a couple of days early and headed North taking some great
back roads and making our first stop in Waynesboro Virginia for the night...we will definitely be
back to visit and explore the craft breweries and wineries. Our next night we made our way to Milford Pennsylvania and loved the small town vibe and even got to sample some local wine by Soaked Winery. We woke up early, packed our bikes and decided to get a little riding in before making our way to camp for 2 nights and 3 days...traveling through the Poconos was pretty great riding I must say. We arrived at camp early and got a great spot to pop our tents up right along the river...what a view! We decided to walk around the campground and get our bearings and locate the nearest bathroom for those late night bathroom runs....never pee outside your tent...it attracts critters! The campground was very nice..lots of shade, and beautiful views of the Delaware River.
We had wished that there had been more vendors but Harley was there and offered us test rides
on several different models of bikes including the Pan Am which Tiffany was excited to test
ride....she is officially hooked and I see an off road bike in the very near future. Now, Tiffany is a planner so she had already planned our day out and off we went...of course
after coffee.
We headed out along the twisty and sweeping roads and made our way to the Kaaterskill Falls
and had a little bit of a hike to get there but the falls were AMAZING!! Tiffany wanted to hike down to the pools and I stayed back and just enjoyed the beauty of the
forest plus I didn’t have the right kind of boots on. TIP: If your going to Moto Hike...bring
appropriate boots!
We had a full day of riding and decided to head back to camp in order to be off the roads before
dark since we knew we were in an area with lots of deer.
We made a pit stop in Rosco, NY and stopped in at Do Good Spirits and sampled some yummy
craft bourbon whiskey. We had both wanted to bring some bottles home with us but space was
tight. After getting back to camp we decided to walk around, get a beer or two and Tiffany decided to partake in the Dunlop tire tossing contest.....she killed it and won herself a hat.
We both wanted to make some dinner and just hang out at camp, build a fire and chill for the
night since we knew we would have to be up early to pack and be back on the road for our trip
back to Florida.
We both agreed that the weekend was not long enough to ride all the roads that we had wanted
and this is one area we will be back to explore for sure.
All in all BRO was a great trip even if we almost froze to death at night.....boy, it was chilly!
So, if you’ve never been to BRO East Coast be sure to check it out next year....who knows, we
may see you there
Be safe out there....FTW!
